Artist Statement
My paintings are born from a fascination with people - their emotions, their contradictions, their quiet moments of truth. I paint women who feel real, with something to share: strength, mystery, courage, vulnerability.

Each piece begins with a narrative - a feeling, a passage of text, a rhythm of movement - and grows through layers of oil paint that reveal and conceal in equal measure. I’m inspired by the worlds of literature, dance, fashion and material - all the ways we expresss and protect who we are.

Psychology and human connection lie at the heart of my work. I’m drawn to that fleeting, unguarded instant when the outer image slips and the inner self comes into view. Through my art, I hope my work invites others to pause, to feel, and to connect - not just to the figure on the canvas, but with something within themselves.
